50 Projects in 2011

Alright, I posted about this on my facebook page, but it will probably be easier for me to keep up with my list if i also blog about it. This will also remind me that I should be blogging about things. xD I tend to forget about this thing. When I craft something on the list, I'll blog about it.. and include some step-by-steps/pics of what inspired me.. or a link to the tutorial I used. :D I have so many craft tutes bookmarked & saved!

Picture related: I am THAT excited about this project.  I have my battle axe ready to go. This, along with the ongoing cooking project my mom and i have going on, is going to be a blast. <3

Here's a back story along with what I'm doing. if anyone feels like joining in, just do it! We'll all craft together. The more people that want to craft, the easier it's going to be to stay motivated. If you don't think you can do 50 (i know, it's almost April!!) just remember that some crafts don't take as much time.  Many crafts can be done in while sitting on the couch watching tv. :DAnyway, I was flipping through my old craft books & idea books, & realized how many things I "dog ear" as crafts I want to do, but never get around to doing (for whatever reason.) I have a whole folder full of bookmarks with things I want to make, and for some reason, I never end up doing it. So, in an effort to motivate myself, I made a list of things I want to do. My list not only has things that I know how to do (sew) but also includes things I want to improve on (jewelry making, applique) and things I want to learn (knitting). I'm trying not to get ahead of myself. I don't expect to learn to knit and then suddenly make myself a beautiful sweater. I'm starting small. maybe in 2012 I'll be able to knit a gorgeous sweater. ;] This list obviously doesn't include everything I will craft this year.. but these are the main things I want to make. I'll have a photo album up on my facebook page, and naturally I'll update this blog as I do the crafts.
